Dear Nutro,
This is my baby, Redeye. He is a 13 year old American Staffordshire Terrier. I took him in as an abused 3 year old. My vet told me this breed lives to be about 7 years old and that I would be looking forward to a great many problems with his joints and bones as he aged. I began feeding him your products when he was 4. He has always been very active — running and jumping constantly. Three years ago, he severed his cruciate ligaments in both knees and this condition requires surgery that takes about 8 months to recover from. For most older dogs, this is a tremendous hardship on them, and a lot of vets suggest euthanasia as an alternative. I couldn’t bear that, so I asked the vet to do the surgery anyway. After the preliminary test, he told me that my dog has excellent bones and was a very good candidate for the surgery, despite his age. He has very little arthritis also. We both believe this is because he has been eating your food for most of his life. I believe you saved his life and I will be forever grateful. He recovered from the first surgery in 3 months, and the second in 5 months. Now he is in great shape and he has lived quite a bit past his breed's usual age. Everyone who sees my dog believes he is a 5 year old. Even vets are amazed when I tell them he is 13. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart! I have sold all my friends on your product. When they see my dog, they can’t wait to start feeding their dogs Nutro and all of them have healthier, more beautiful dogs because of it.
