Dear Nutro,
I have never written to a cat food company before, but your food literally saved my cat's life. My wonderful best friend of 15 years, Metro, suddenly began to vomit. Not your typical once in a while cat vomit, this was happening every time he ate. At first we thought it was the food, so we tried another brand. Still he would get sick. We went to the so called gourmet foods (Fancy Feast, Sheba, etc.) and he still would vomit everything he ate. Our vet could find nothing wrong except for a slight thickening of his intestines. He suggested the higher end "Science" foods (Iams, Science Diet, etc). We tried them all, and he could not keep any of them down. His ribs were showing. He had to be down to 5 pounds. Another trip to the vet resulted in meds that just made him sicker. The only answer seemed to be to put him down, but we loved him so much it was hard to consider. I don't know why I went to a new PetSmart that opened near my home, but I saw a food that I had never seen before (Nutro Gourmet Classics). I had nothing to lose, and so I bought one of each flavor. The first one I gave him, Veal Pate, he sniffed. Then he sniffed again, and then dove into it like he hadn't eaten in months. My wife and I waited for the inevitable, but it never came. He kept it down! One by one we fed him each flavor, he loved them all and he kept them all down! It has been 3 months now, and his weight is back to 9-10 pounds, he looks great, he is cleaning himself again, and is even leaping from table to chairs to sit on us and purr for hours again! He still loves every flavor of food you make, and he is still my best friend. I have no idea what you do differently from every other cat food maker out there, but please never change. My wife and I (and I'm sure my wonderful Russian Blue, Metro) can never possibly thank you enough! We send our love and thanks.
